Two weeks ago 2 of my best friends’ in Lebanon big brother was killed by an Israeli bomb. He was 27 years old, and married with a kid.
My friends are like little sisters to me. They are genuinely 2 of the kindest, gentlest souls I know. Family is their everything. I’m truly heartbroken for them, that I couldn’t protect them. Their heartbreak is indescribable.
Even when their family home and the school their parents worked in was destroyed by Israeli bombs I kept telling them “things will get better, hang in there”. But things didn’t get better. There will be no justice for them, none at all. How do we just let this happen? How?
